Kudos
to Professor Nancy Bjorklund on a job well done! Dr. Bjorklund's research
on Reformation Archbishop of Canterbury Matthew Parker has been published
in the summer edition of Sixteenth Century Journal, a periodical
of historical research. Her article, "A Godly Wyfe is an Helper," presents thorough research on Parker's views about clerical marriage.
Dr. Bjorklund's interest in Matthew Parker began with her doctoral dissertation
at University of California at Irvine. Her research brings together
not only historically significant topics such as the English Reformation
and women's status in patriarchal English society and the church but
also relates to contemporary discussions in the church on clerical marriage.
